Blue Heron News

Wow, June is gone already, and yesterday was the Fourth of July. I hope you all enjoyed the brightening of the sky, family gatherings, baseball games, trips to the lake, or whatever other traditions you enjoy every year.

The weather has been remarkable over the last month. Mother Nature has left her mark lighting up the sky with her own fireworks.
As you know I have been working in the gardens I've created around my house - now it's all about the upkeep!! I've also added another skill to my repertoire - but I will have to give most of the credit to my son, Nick. We've put in new kitchen cupboards, counters, flooring, and woodwork over the last month. My other son, Jon, assited with laying the floor and putting up the baseboards and trim. We still have some finish work that needs to be done, but possibly one more weekend and we will be finished. It's been great to work as a team. I did the sanding and painting of the new cabinets. My daughter, Shena arrived one day to help me tear up the old floor. It took me another day to scrape away the old glue. I finally broke it down into 15 minute increments to save my hands from hurting more than they already were. But I'm sure building up great calluses!! As we worked together we were able to adjust to a rhythm, even though there were a few times when tempers flared between the boys. As children, competing against each other was inevitable. As we grow older, we find it is necessary to listen to one another, make compromises and joint decisions. It is difficult at times to realize that we don't always know what is right, or there may be a better alternative to the challenge. This is a part of learning and growing. As a parent I have to stand back and wait for them to learn that this is a challenge they must overcome. It's difficult to bite my tongue and not be such a "parent" to two adult children.

This month my blogs will be based on past-lives, in anticipation of the class/regression with Psychic Andy and myself on July 23. Andy will be doing a talk on past-lives and spirit guides, and then I will be doing past life regressions afterwards. If interested check out http://blueherontransitions.com/ for more information.

I have been asked to do a guest blog for my good friend Lizzie Starr on Creativity. She's got some interesting stuff out there, so check her out. Her book BY KELTIC DESIGN is now out on Kindle for those who love fantasy romance.

As always I wish you peace, love and healing.

Namaste
